Loop 'de Loop

Summer 2011's tour is The Lumby Loop and it features a spectacular circle route through three of BC's favorite valleys.  The Okanagan, Slocan and Similkameen.

This is a self-contained tour starting and ending in Lumby, BC. The three-week tour starts August 1st at the trailhead in the Lion's Community Campground in Lumby.  We'll head up over the Monashee's to Fauquier and up to Nakusp.  Take a right turn and head down the valley to Castlegar.  (Stop at Fomi's Bakery on the way!)  We'll experience the pure joy of climbing up to the Blueberry Paulson summit and the thrill of the ride down to Christina Lake.  We'll head over to Rock Creek and up over to Osoyoos.  Our Similkameen adventure starts around August 13th as we ride up and over the Richter Pass.  We'll end up in Keremeos ready for some R&R and a lovely wine tour.  The harvest will be in full swing in Cawston, BC's organic capital so we'll stock up on the right kind of food for the next leg over to Princeton via the Hedley Princeton back road.  The old highway from Princeton to Summerland takes us up and over the hill following next to the Kettle Valley Railway.  At Jellicoe Station, we have arranged for a B&B complete with one of their legendary breakfasts!  When we decend back down into the Okanagan Valley, we'll take a left turn an make our way up the Westside Road all the way to Armstrong for our last night of the tour August 20th.  When we reach Lumby the next day we will have seen almost 1000 kms. from the saddle.

Our trip planning is complete and registration is now closed for this tour. If you'd like to know more about future tours contact us.  Please keep in mind that tour participants are selected by application to ensure the best possible experience for all.
